Welcome to the Center

The Texas Research Center for Social Dynamics (TRCSD) is a non-regulatory research body charged with the study of interpersonal, familial, and demographic patterns within the State of Texas. The Center compiles, analyzes, and publishes findings intended to inform public discussion and assist State agencies in long-range planning.

The Center does not provide individual counseling, legal advice, or clinical services, and it does not enforce any statute or rule. Its work is observational and statistical in nature. All published findings are made available to the public free of charge.

What We Do

Collect and maintain longitudinal data on household formation, dissolution, and demographic change.
Conduct periodic studies on courtship, partnership stability, and family structure.
Publish plain-language briefs and technical reports for the public and for State agencies.
Respond to public information requests for non-confidential aggregate data.
